I ‘ve just watched the yesterday’s keynote by Steve Jobs, presenting, among many others, the new iPod touch, with built-in safari browser, actually an iPhone without just the phone functionality. The question that naturally raised to me is that, provided that we live in a (free?) wifi cloud, do we actually need phones? Why do I have to pay for a mobile carrier, when I can have Skype in my pocket?
